Three days left ladies!!! I can't believe how fast it has come up. It has been an absolutely crazy month as I have left everything until the last minute since I am off from work. This last week before has not been quite as stressful as I thought it would be, just really busy. We are moving too so that also makes it rather difficult! I am so excited for our day, we are going to have an absolute blast!!! I'll let you know the details after we get back from the honeymoon! Thanks for all your help.

Are any of you chatty brides having a hard time figuring out who to invite from work? I work in a high school and I am a social worker so I work with the whole school, not just a small team. Unfortunately high school staff can be as bad as high school students so I am stuck on if I should invite anyone from work. I spend my days with co-workers and chat about everything and go out for drinks, but we don't call each other to go out or anything like that. There are a couple people I am closer with but they are newer staff so I am worried about offending people if I invite them. Any thoughts?

I finally had my first fitting!!! It went well and I was excited as its been months since I last tried on my wedding dress. I am currently debating between either adding some beading to the dress or a beaded belt (or both). the dress is all lace. does anyone have any good suggestions of places to get a wedding belt? did anyone add a belt or beading to their dress?

My bridal shower is in about one month and my mom asked if I wanted to have any games played at it. I am not a fan of all the cheesy games, but at the same time I think showers are very boring!! Are you ladies doing any games/activities at your shower?

Hey Ladies!!! My dress should be in a few weeks, I am definitely NOT ready for it!!! I have continuously been avoiding the gym and eating healthy and I am nervous to try the dress on. I may be putting that off for a few weeks :)

I have been looking for shoes since I know I need to bring them to the fitting and I have not had much luck. I don't normally wear heels, at least not for long periods of time. I have found some really cute shoes but they have all been 3inch heels and I don't think that will be comfortable for me all day...and when I take the shoes off I don't want to trip on my dress. All of the low heels seem so boring and old-lady.

Has anyone had any luck finding fun/nice wedding shoes that are not too high?

I think I finally picked bridesmaid dresses! I had a difficult time because the Biltmore is formal but I don't want anything too formal and I want short dresses. It has been hard to find something but I think I have. I think the colors will be berries and plums and I was planning on raspberry bridesmaid dresses but I was not a fan of Amsale's colors so I think I will go with plum and bright pink flowers.

I will be getting some more stuff done over vacation so I will send updates!

It has been forever since I posted, sorry ladies! Thought I would send out some updates...I got THE DRESS!! I was between a couple dresses and went to try on one a second time and I ended up buying a different dress that was just hanging in the dressing room!! I'm so excited! It was fun but also pretty stressful so I'm glad it's done!

I am in the process of meeting with florists, mostly ones based in RI. Does anyone have any suggestions of places to go, things to ask etc? I met with Golden Gate and I am meeting with Semia and Blooming Blossoms on Wednesday.

I have to start looking for Bridesmaid dresses. How did you go about it? Do you email different choices to your girls, go shopping to places together, etc?

I am in the process of trying to decide on our wedding photographer. All we have is the date and location set, and I am already having a hard time deciding on a photographer. So far I have met with Sabrina Scolari, Jen Neves, David Barnes, and James Hazelwood. I am trying to schedule a meeting with perfect wedding photo this week. Does anyone have any of these people as their photographer? I think right now my favorite is James Hazelwood, but I'm still not really sold on anyone! Thanks!

Hi Everyone!! I am so excited to be a chatty bride! My fiance and I got engaged on June 6th, 2009. He is fabulous and we are so excited (ok, maybe he is not that excited) to be planning our wedding. We will be getting married at the Providence Biltmore Hotel on July 31, 2010. I work in a high school so I have been trying to take advantage of having the summer off and getting as much planning done as possible. This is a picture from the night we got engaged :)
