The fiance called to let me know he ordered my wedding band from Descenzas that we picked out over the weekend!!

So I am in a less than ideal situation and i was looking for some advice.
My wedding is almost a year away and i feel as though no one in my wedding party maybe besides 2 are excited about this in any way.
I found dresses and they need to be ordered online. I ordered one myself and love the look, feel and fit and so i suggested everyone order it and we could all meet and have everyone try them on and see what we really think.
The price of the dress is completely reasonable and no one seems to be budging. I feel as though no one is into this wedding and its really getting me down.
My fiance suggested telling them how i feel and if they dont want to be in the wedding tell me now. I dont know if this is the best way.

Hey brides!

So, I've been playing with ideas for placecards for months......have been knocking ideas around from votive holders to mini martini glasses.....but I decided just plain paper is the way to go.

BUT, I had to do something unique. Knottie Mrs.Femme's closeline of pinned cards. I also wanted to do a nontraditional shape, so I bouht a 3-inch circle paper punch from Michael's crafts.

As I have mentioned before, I am looking for a venue for my wedding and am searching across state lines (NY, RI, MA).

I'm down to two and wanted to see if anyone had input on either one.

I finally got another major check out of the way!! As soon as I got engaged, I KNEW I loved Kristin Spencer's work as a photographer. I was introduced to her thru Chattybride, HJT. Her use of vibrant colors and her amazing photojournalistic approach made her the her the BEST candidate hands down.
Let it be known, though, that I am an extensive researcher. Actually, overly so. For every vendor I book, I look at the very least 3 competitors to make sure Ive got the absolute best match for what Brian and I want for our big day. This can get extremely grueling and tiresome as you can imagine but at least we know we've done our due diligence and are 100% comfortable with our choice. Ive now done that with our caterers, bands, etc.
I have to say, I looked high and low for someone that you could consider a "competitor" for Kristin and there is just NO ONE that has the quality of work, the attention to detail, the creative ideas, the relationships with her couples, and the ability to capture such amazing shots as Kristin!!
My fiance and I are literally glowing with excitement that we've booked Kristin!! In fact, we're using one of the weddings she shot as an inspiration for ours! As you probably remember, we're going for "glitz and glam" with black and white as the primary colors and bright pink, tangerine and lime green as secondary colors. When I mentioned this to Kristin she showed me pics of a wedding she had just shot and it was PERFECT inspiration!!
Photographer = Check!

I just ordered stamps from Zazzle.com. I took a design element from my invitations and used that on the stamp, so it matches the overall design. Looks like were all in the same dilemma together with the new postage rate increase. I went to the post office last week and the woman there told me that the new stamps will be available in mid-May. But one can never trust the timeline of the USPS. Keep in mind the smallest size they offer at Zazzle is bigger than your average stamp...almost 2 inches in size. I've done a lot of research on this subject.

The photo posted is the new Love stamps they offer. It's either that or the flag.

Here is the newest 42 cent stamp- the only heart stamps that are available on the website so far are the "purple heart" medal stamp....... not so romantic.

Hey Y'all! So, my fiance' and I have two date nights (tonight and tomorrow) lined up to get the invites stuffed so that they can be mailed out by May 19th (Our Two Month Mark!!) Our outter envelopes will probably be done by next week.
I'm sure you have all heard that the prices of stamps are going up- and that date is May 12th!! Which really kind of puts a damper on my stuffing- because, the reply envelopes are going to need a stamp that is the right amount. By the time my guests reply, it will be AFTER the price change, so I'm in a bit of a jam.
If I go buy stamps and mail them all out before May 12th, the odds that every reply will come back before the 12th are about a billion zillion to none. The bad news is, is that even on USPS.com, they do not have the wedding stamps available for the 42 cent stamp yet. Meaning, I may be better off to go with forever stamps, at 41 cents now (the brown liberty bell) rather than wait and see when the wedding ones will be available. Unfortunately for all of us with July weddings, our stamp look may not be exactly what we intended.
So, what I will have to do, is purchase stamps for the replies that are 42 cents, NOT 41 cents. Or, just get the forever stamps. The benefit of the forever stamp is that once we start stuffing the invites tonight, we won't have to back track to get the stamp on the reply.
I'm just happy I found out the cost is going up- rather than to get the invites all stamped and have to add 1 cent stamps.
I hope all of you were prepared for the change. I have a feeling that there will be plenty of brides getting the bad news about it!
It's not that I can't afford the extra couple of dollars, it's the design of the stamp I'd like to have- and it's not available yet.
