SlackerBride81 talked about shoes a few posts ago.
Which I totally LOVED the shoes....and think I might change my name to Slacker Bride....cause I've totally become that...or Slacker Chatty.
Anyways, I have these fabulous RED shoes...which I've worn several times to events and EVERYONE has loved them! My mom, like I've mentioned before is super traditional. If you have a white dress white shoes, Ivory--Ivory etc.
I'm going with the red shoes. Mom only has so much say. Plus they are already purchased, not like I'm asking for new shoes.
Who else is wearing bold colored shoes??

Hi Girls!
I wanted to introduce myself. I am super excited to be a part of this site - I have been browsing it for the past couple days and you all have such fabulous ideas!
I am getting married on February 28, 2009 - yep 90 days from now! I really cannot believe it is almost here - but I am so excited for the day to come and to see all the planning I have done come together. I know a winter wedding is not the norm - but my fiance and I are both cold weather people (probably something to do with me growing up in Alaska :))... so we are planning a February wedding in Columbus, Ohio. I know most of you Chatty Brides are from the northeast - however I do live in Boston so I love seeing all your engagement shoots and hearing of your shopping excursions!
My FI and I have been together since high school - over 10 years - and we are so excited to finally be husband and wife! There was never a doubt that we would end up together - but we both wanted to finish grad school and be in the same city before planning a wedding.
Now on to the proposal - after being together for so long I really thought I would have an idea when it was all going to happen; however it was quite the opposite. I was 100% SURPRISED! He surprised me with a trip to Vegas for my birthday...which was amazing enough all by itself! Then after a night of seeing the Cirque de Soleil and an amazing dinner we arrived back to the room to find rose petals EVERYWHERE, champagne, and a card with my name on it - and still I thought all of this was for my birthday (totally clueless!). BUT when I opened the card on the inside it said "Love you will all my heart" and he had written "Will you marry me?" It was honestly not until this point that I had any clue what was happening, and when I turned around there he was on one knee holding the ring. He said a whole bunch of sweet stuff and I said "YES!" as I had instant tears! It truly was PERFECT.
I will probably be posting a lot in the next couple weeks as I am very much a DIY bride and have completed quite a few of my projects (although it seems like there is still an endless list to do :)).
Looking so forward to reading about all of your amazing ideas!

Okay, here's our favorite two engagement pictures. We're using these as personal collection photos though, because no one other than a fellow bride to be will care to see us kissing!!
